It served as a prelude to things that would come in the '07 regular season. It began to look similar to the Eagles 2004 13-3 season (which also started with a rout of the Giants). The 2004 Eagles started with some early, convincing wins against division rivals and NFC competitors. T.O. was a TD away from breaking the Eagles single season receiving record before getting injured by Roy Williams' trademark tackle. Owens went into his hyperbolic chamber to heal the hurt leg. The story ends with a vindictive comment by McNugget (we don't need T.O. to win), Owens returns as a "Hero" the SuperBow... The Big Game. A 3 point loss to the Patriots made Iggles fan think there were things to come in '05. Back to '07 Romo rising... convincing early wins... Owens ties then breaks team records, injures leg (coincidently in a game where Roy Williams is serving suspension for his trademark tackle) headed to chamber... Cowboys end 13-3, the parallels are stark! Like Philadelphia before, Dallas is the path to the Big Game. Let's just hope history repeats itself to an extent. Just don't say you can win without Owens.
